A good start for 2012-2013

STOCKTON – Students and faculty from Department of Earth & Environmental sciences met today over a fun and relaxing pizza lunch to catch up after a busy summer and to discuss the coming academic year. Topics of discussion included elections for officers in the geology club (Pacific Geocentric Society) and our Chapter of the Sigma Gamma Epsilon National Honor Society, logistics for student travel to this year’s annual meeting of the Geological Society of America, ideas for outreach and curriculum development at Sacramento County Office of Education’s Sly Park Environmental Education Center, and planning for summer field camp. It looks like it’s going to be a great year!
